Keene Housing is pleased to announce the grand re-opening of Central Square Terrace.  The $6.9 rehabilitation project included restoring the 19th century sandstone façade, extensive upgrades to existing systems, and energy efficiency improvements including the installation of air source heat pumps that will provide both heat and air conditioning to all apartments.  All ninety apartments are newly painted and received new kitchen cabinets, countertops, flooring, appliances, LED light fixtures, new bathrooms and much more.  In addition, the number of fully accessible units was doubled from 5 to 10.

Projects like these always take a tremendous amount of teamwork, coordination and patience, and Keene Housing has never benefited so much from the goodwill and hard work of its partners, residents and staff as we did during this project.  We are thankful to New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority, Evernorth, the New Hampshire Community Development Finance Authority, Eversource, and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for their support of this project and to the Breadloaf Corporation for their top notch Construction Management.
