Voucher Holder FAQs
Keene Housing determines what you will pay for rent when your housing assistance starts and during regular recertifications. The type of voucher you have determines what your portion of rent will be. You will receive a letter that breaks down what you pay for rent and what portion of housing assistance KH will pay towards your rent.
With your consent, yes, KH can send information about your portion of rent to DHHS or any other agency of your choice.

KH uses income information to calculate your portion of rent. During recertifications, KH determines your continued eligibility to receive housing assistance and recalculates your portion of the rent. Depending on the program, if your income increases or your rent exceeds KH’s contribution towards the monthly rent, your portion of rent may increase.
